Sherman Tanks were dumped in Loch Fyne, Chieftain tanks although up to 50 years old would be too good to throw away. Hmm! I'm just trying to picture someone "throwing away" a tank.

it could be that the lochs are nice and deep as you must know in england we only have ponds
i'm english,and totally agree with you,i always thought that the lochs were supposed to be places of natural beauty,and surrounding country-side.
