Why is duncan fletcher still coach of england surely he is past his sell by date?
our one day squad is pathetic and our test team although improving has much to be desired. If your face fits with fletcher your almost a lifer.

There might be an argument for having a different coach for the one-dayers, but the change Fletcher has brought about in the Test side is immense. Remember the days of Bumble?
He isn't the worst of coaches, they could do better, but hey, its not going to happen for now, one-day matches are important, but with the Upcoming Ashes Tour, it would be useful to rest the important or doubtful players.
coaching is done with brains and they often stay as
sharp as ever well past when the physical starts to go.

our one day side IS poor i agree,but our test side is second in the world and we hold the ashes thats better than before fletcher was around.he is a bit dull but its not his job i guess to be mr personality.good question though

ARE YOU MAD? when duncan fletcher tokk over were a joke nothing more and getting beat by tems like zimbabwe but now we r a strong side and shown we can beat the aussies, as for the one dayers we have to many young inexperienced players but they will come good soon enough
He is the best coach england has had in a very long time. It also does not help that his 2 main players, Vaughn (CPT) and flintoff are/were both injured. Ashley Giles also hasn't been playing and Jones also had his injury problems. Thats 4 out of the first 11, that must hurt a team a little
It is upto Cricket Board of England to decide which Coach is better equiped to coach their team and we should leave it to them.
If it wasn't for Fletcher we would still have massive inconsistencies with selection, with nobody really confident about their place. He has also introduced the professional, aggressive and, dare I say it, Aussie style attitude to the team. Admittedly the test performances have not transferred themselves into the one day arena, but I know which version of the game I'd like to see success in. Its Test matches.
England should have new coach with new ideas.
You could hardly ditch him after the ashes victory! and since then he has brought a young squad together who will def challenge in the coming years! Think he will stay for another year, at least till the end of the ashes series this winter!
