Chute
Still falling but, at a slow decent. You don't rise.
You don't go up. You momentarily suspend in the air whilst the parachute deploys. It appears that you go up in films as the cameraman doesn't deploy his chute until after the subject he si filming. This means that he is still falling at 500 feet per second whilst the subject of his lens 'stalls' in the air as the cameraman continues to descend.
It really does go upwards when first opened. It quite a scare when it does shoot up in the air.
Only people who have done a jump can really answer this.
Your right , the person filming is still falling
No, you decelerate it just appears that you go up when someone is filming it. It's an illusion as there isn't a focal point like a tree or building to gauge against when you're in the sky.
