What football premiership football grounds do u think has got the best & worst atmosphere?
Answers:
Liverpool probably the best overall.Tottenham can be great too, especially for mid-week cup/european games!
of the smaller clubs portsmouth and reading very good.
worst have to be old trafford considering the size of the place and the fact that Alex Ferguson has to keep moaning at his own fans for not singing enough(i've never known any other manager who has had to do that!)And perhaps the Man U fans should make up their own song instead of continually using a Tottenham song!
Also Chelsea is a terrible atmos.Wigan fans need to start getting behind there team as well, their crowds are embarrassingly small for a club that has done so well over the last couple of years!
Chelsea has a brilliant atmosphere xx
best atmosphere is definately sheffield utd you can hear the away fans laughing for miles
worst manchester one song united so boring
old trafford is great !!
Portsmouth and Newcastle provide a great atmosphere at grounds, as do Man Utd and Liverpool, it's out of these 4, i would Liverpool, as a Chelsea fan it hurts to say, but Anfield is legendry.
The two best grounds have got to be Portsmouth and Reading. Granted, not much singing, but loads and loads of noise.
It's no surprise that both teams are doing so well.
If only Arsenal could employ someone with a drum, or a trumpet..
Best: Portsmouth..proper fans who always get loudly behind their team even when they are doing badly.
Worst: the new Arsenal stadium looks great, but the atmoshere is terrible..no-one sings and it feels like visiting the theatre rather than a match.
Bolton's, the Reebok. Outside the Premiership it's got to be Grimsby
I must laugh soemone suggested Stamford Bridge. There is more atmosphere on the moon. After paying £48 to get into a crap stadium then no singing from the home fans I was very very dissappointed.
best: manchester united
worst: arsenal, chelsea, fulham..all london clubs.too much diversity and not enough togetherness between the fans.that being said, west ham have a good set of supporters
Stoke fan here,so i dont get to go premiership grounds, lol.from what i see on sky id say West ham or Portsmouth have the best atmoshphere, and Bolton or Boro the worst. But 1 of the worst im not proud to say this but Stokes Britannia stadium must have 1 of the worst atmospheres in the country, when at the old victoria ground it was like having 12 players on the pitch with the atmosphere,a lot of these new grounds just arent the same as the old ones, and its not the same sitting down as standing up.if you have sky checkout espn classic on the sports chanells they have football from the 70s and 80s thats when it was a sport and not a business as it is today. The players of today dont know how lucky they are.
the best..Old Trafford or even, Anfield.
and the worst?...?..stamford bridge...very crammed stadium.pity for Ballack and Shevchenko when they moved to the bigger stadium ( Allianz Arena and San Siro ) into that crammed stadium.why roman abramovich didn't renovate that??
i donno, i have never been in every prem staium yet
Villa Park has the best atmosphere and the grounds at Chelsea are the worst
ST JAMES PARK,ANFIELD ,OLD TRAFFORD---BEST
CRAVEN COTTAGE, VICARAGE RD,EASTLANDS---WORST
Anfield - The most intimidating
Stamford Bridge the most ordinary
The best atmosphere is without no doubt Anfield. The opposition is often intimidated by the crowd, and that's why Liverpool have scored a lot of points at home. It's cause the others are too afraid to play. However, the worst atmosphere must be at St James Park, Newcastle. Seems that there is no passion from the fans.
anfield has by far the best atmosphere going on but by far the worst is old trafford. you only have to look at the sold out champions league game against Copenhagen when they where out sung by a hand full of danish fans.
I have not had the chance of going to the Premiership Football Grounds, but, from what I have seen on the Television Manchester United and Liverpool Fan`s seem to be the best, and I am quite impressed with how many answer`s said chelski`s ground was the worse, that really made my day, thank you.
Upton Park (the boleyn) west ham's ground has a great atmosphere and great fans
Anfield liverpool's ground also has a great atmosphere and great fans.
Highbury used to be apsolutly awful - many fans used to call it The libary. But since they have moved into their new satdium it has become slightly better. I say only slightly
pompey have the best in prem and the worst is brighton.
My personal opinion is that Anfield has a great atmosphere. Though for the most part most clubs have a similarly intimidating atmosphere.
Hard to choose one worst, but, much as it pains me to say this, the Emirates seem to be quite dull. It's so unlike Highbury.
West Ham, Pompey and liverpool have the best atmospheres and then maybe man utd.
Worst being Boro, Man City or Chelsea
Personally The four teams that spring to mind when you say "good" atmosphere are:
. Portsmouth
. West Ham
. Aston Villa
. Bolton
There are not many "bad" atmosphere grounds but the two that also spring to mind are:
. Fulham
. Charlton
I have been to all of the premiership football grounds. The best atmosphere is at the Valley, next is the JJB, the worst is the new Arsenal Emirates Stadium but this is highly likely to change for the better in the future.
The atmosphere can be good at all the grounds but many fans will only say that their teams ground is the best. Best thing to do is to go to all the grounds yourself and make your own mind up.
