Seriously though, so long as they can do it, why not? I'd be against it if it were just to make up some kind of quota. But assuming that they have the necassary qualifications and they can do the job, I see no reason why not.

I'm in favor too. Just make sure they all wear miniskirts, they all stand above 6' to see what's going on and that they can handle listening to pukes like T.O. talk about how "they're too pretty to make a crappy call like that." It's worth a shot..
The answer to that is disaffected football managers who still have caveman views and use the oppotunity to spout rubbish about female officials to disguise the fact the team they manage is on a ropey run of form. Mike Newell has apologised, but it will be his rant against his chairman, rather than against the official, than will decide his fate.

Absolutely no reason women can't referee a match as long as they have passed the examinations that everyone needs to pass to be a ref. They can keep up with play just as well as a man just need to get their heads around the offside rule.
I am (a light hearted answer) because woman refs can give fouls to those sexy men playing in shorts and soon we will have many more wrong fouls than before!

Well,ME! Years ago they fought for equality and they got that, but some time they still use "i'm a lady" to get things theirs way, they jump into politic and want to be presidents or ministers and everything else, be carefull or one day we, men will end up in the place they were years ago.
well during a brasilian club soccer match, this ballboy kicked the ball into the goal area and the woman ref counted it as a real goal! isn't that weird??? but i'm just saying coz it is somewhat of a conpiracy. i think women reffing will be fine, i mean if they don't make silly mistakes that men will discriminate against (like the call in my example!). i mean, why not? if they want, it's fine..
