What can be done to avoid relegation?

I'm sorry, but I think Charlton are going to The Championship. They just don't look that good and I don't think that anything they do is going to get them out of the bottom three. I'm pretty sure that Newcastle will find their form eventually and get up to mid-table. West Ham and Blackburn are looking bad but they should be able to pull it out without worrying about relegation. To me that leaves Charlton, Sheffield and Watford.

To me it is looking like Sheff utd WILL be relegated Watford WILL be relegated and perhaps Newcastle utd if they don't start to pull there socks up.(West ham or Man city might also be in the mix)
Get your chairman to get his hand in is pocket and buy some decent players - that's the only thing that can be done to try and avoid it

In Darren Bent they have a striker who scores goals, and a club's survival always hinges on the ability to score. If they can shore up in defence they have enough quality to climb out of the religation zone.
Its not looking good and it maybe shows the value of Curbishley to the Club. They have to start winning home games or at least not losing and this year has to be a backs to the wall approach. If they have the money a couple of good defenders in the transfer window may be the solution. Or how about this - Tevez and Mascherano on loan from West Ham? They are not getting a place in the team.
