Has anyone got a full free list or diagram or video footage of all the forms in soo bahk do moo duk kwan?
Answers:
I started in JKA Karate with the Heian forms, which Korean Karate called Pyong An and continued to use until Choi Hong Hi came along. I was in Korea in the Moo Duk Kwan as pressure peaked to unify with Taekwondo under the WTF in the mid seventies. Nearly all the Moo Duk Kwan teachers, including mine, moved over to the KTA and began teaching Palgue and Taegeuk patterns. Hwang Khee's remaining associates continued to teach the Tang Soo Do forms which are widely available on video, though I don't doubt there have been modifications since.
I taught for 30 years before being sidelined by diabetes, and I have never been able to discern any meaningful difference between Soo Bahk and Tang Soo Do except a lot of hand-waving about philosophy. More than anything, it comes down to too many Sahbom want to be Kwang Jung and starting their own organizations so they can be a "grandmaster" which is a meaningless title.
If you just want the techniques in order, the site below might help. The TSD forms are well-balanced and as good for developing power as the older patterns from Karate.
