I need motivation for martial arts has anyone got any suggestions?

Well, it's a great way to get fit and also you'll be learning to defend yourself. Increases your confidence ten fold; it's brilliant!. Plus you get to meet new people. Just give it a go!

I do ultimate fighting and boxing, and I just think about how much I just want to beat the crap out of the other guy. Listen to rock music LOUD. Make your self hate the other guy.
look at any martial arts movie, show,or magazen and let your imagination make a motivation.

either you want to do or you don't. if you need motivation then go to the worse part of town, get you a** kicked and mugged and that should motivate you to go..happy?
The desire has to be there. Martial arts is something that must aggresively sought after. Training should be done daily because you want to not because you have to.
It is not for everybody.
No one can make another person do it. Your heart must be in it.
Motivation must come from within.
Find better instructor! Not a 12 degree black belt one! Or one that train only once a week!
Ask yourself why you study martial arts?
To be a better fighter?
A better person? Or to stay fit and healthy?

Is there a technique you can't seem to master? Questioning why I study martial arts helps keep me motivated it's no longer about belts with me I thought when I got my black belt it was the be all and end all of my karate it's simply just the beginning for me.. I get complimented alot on my technique and that motivates me a great deal I always aim as high as I can a good sensei helps alot. My sensei believes I have low self esteem but have strong ability and compassion for martial arts he sets me targets that he would not set to most of his students that helps motivate me. The benefits I am slim fit and healthy have more confidence than before can protect myself. I am full of life when I train every one gets bad training sessions just hang in there pal train for you and no one else. Perhaps you have not found the right martial art or perhaps you need some rest.
I have found that while training at home listening to some upbeat music really gets me going, this is good for high intensity work out but not so good for perfecting exact technique, for that clam music should be used.

Try a different class/ school of martial arts, maybe learn some weapons katas, is a big subject so ther eis plenty of variety for you. You might be working to hard too, take a rest and see if you miss it, if you don't even think about it you don't miss it so time to move on
first question you should ask yourself is if you enjoy the art your training in at this moment in time . any doubts should be addressed to your teacher , if unresolvable then move on and try something else .
You should be motivated by your teacher. Don't you want to be able to do what he/she can do? If not then you're in the wrong class!
