Delahoya V's Mosley?
Does anyone know when they are sheduled to fight?
Answers:
I don't think there or any plans for them to fight, nor should there be. For whatever reason, Mosley seems to have Oscar's number and its really a fight that the boxing public doesn't have much interest in seeing again. There's a lot of talk about De La Hoya fighting Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at some point. IMO, this is a fight Oscar can't win except in the bank account, where he could pocket as much as $30 million for his work. Oscar is sort of in a bad place right now, at least from a career standpoint. I'm not sure that he'd be able to get himself back into the championship mix--he did look really impressive in his last fight against Ricardo Mayorga, but Mayorga is a very limited fighter. I know that its hard for any fighter to hang it up, but at this point--at least in my opinion--he's kind of in the same boat as Roy Jones in that he can only diminish his legacy by continuing to fight. Objectively, its hard to see why he wants to--obviously he'd make insane money but the guy already has a nine figure bank balance and is doing very well with his promotional activities.
who and who?
soz never heard of them :)
Yeah, years ago, do you mean Mayweather?
De La Hoya came out on the short end of the 2 fights they have had though they were both close. The first fight I agreed that Shane Mosely had legitamately beaten him but in the second fight there was a lot of controversy and I along with many others believed Oscar De La Hoya actually won. When asked if Oscar would fight again he said no that there was no point. He felt he had won too but he has since went on to better things winning BIG against Mayorga most recently and is suppose to fight MAYWEATHER some time next year.
I didn't know they were scheduled to fight again. De La Hoya lost the previous two fights.
I believe they are fighting a duel Main Event with Holyfield vs Tyson.
