Why do the managers of football clubs get sacked is it their fault that the team is rubbish?

why is it always the managers that get the pressure and the insults when losing he didnt play on the pitch did he so how can he rectify any result?

I'm afraid that's the way of the World. The buck stops with someone and the manager is the one to take the fall. I feel for them sometimes, but they pick the team/formation/tactics and are payed a lot of money for it (though not as much as most of the players, it's true), and they know the script.
But fans should give managers more time sometimes. Some managers are a couple of bad results into the season and the fans are screaming for their heads! Patience is sometimes required.

Because he is the one that helped hire the team.
Because the Manager is there to manage.
He has the opportunity to select transfer, train or trade the players and is charged by the Directors of the club to achieve the best result.
You sometimes see a change of Manager getting fantastic results from the same team of players, because he can motivate praise and promote or discipline and drop,or instill the fear of God in them.
He gets paid to produce and if he doesn't .....

they are responsible for buying and picking the team and telling them how to play so if they lose he has either told them to do the wrong thing or purchased poor quality players look at scotland and how poor that german was but walter has the same players and is doing well so the german was a poor leader and was sacked
the manager organises and picks the team, and is also untimately responsible for the tactics used by the players to try and win the game. Therefore, if his team loses and loses consistently, his approach and tactics must be wrong.
Its all to do with tactics, and picking your best team, also motivating them, what i dont understand is why its the same old faces managing all the time.
If they cant do it with one team, why would they be able to do it with another.
Alan Ball is a prime example of this ,he took 3 teams down on the run,but still got another job managing ..
In football, the manager buys players and picks the team. If that team doesn't do well, then it is the manager that should take the blame. If you think about any business - when a team isn't doing well, the manager is the one in charge of improving things. If things don't improve then they get sacked. Simple as that!

Look at recent events - Martin O'Neill came in to Aston Villa and used pretty much the same players that David O'Leary did. When O'Leary was in charge, Villa looked like relegation candidates. With O'Neill in charge they look like possible Champions League candidates! That is purely down to the manager.
It is down to the manager if they aint giving the players the right tactics etc BUT its not just down to the manager the players get paid stupid amounts of money a week. they should be fined for evey game they lose or penaltys they miss etc. it might bring the passion back into the game. At the end of the day its not the manager out there kicking the ball. If the players are getting 30 grand a week they should be able to score a goal, save a goal defend etc so they need to show us fans that they are worth that money. dont just go the easy route and scak the manager
they get alot of the praise when a team wins also makes the choices of which players he is gonna play the substitutions has to make sure they get the right traing and motivation mind you i woulda thought 60 grand a week is enough motivation but there you go,the job isnt as easy as it looks..
You cannot fire the team, just the manager sometimes. Just look at Birmingham, the whole team was at times lazy and played poorly. But what can you do? Bruce survived because the players were clearly the issue.
The buck has to stop somewhere, and that place is at the Managers door.
it is always cheaper to fire the manager than say Beckham or Ronaldinho, the crowd is there to see them not the manager
Managers are there by definition, to manage. If his team can't manage to get results then there's a problem with the management surely?
