I would question why you need to know another person's sexuality, however, he has a girlfriend. Does that shed any light for you? Football has long since passed it's "first ever gay footballer".
Perhaps it's because you want to get to know him better - can I suggest that whatever your sexual orientation, relationships with "famous" people sit far more easily in the realm of fantasy than they do in reality. I'm sure he'll sign an autograph for you though if you ask him nicely.
