Has football and footballers.been dumb down.for style over substance?

why is it that the so called great footballers of today.ie rooney.lampard ect.if a player gose any were near then its a foul .and the ball is so light its like a ballon.i was brought up on pele/cruff/hoddle ect.and todays players would not lace up there boots.

Yes lol I agree with you. I love football but they do ruin it. Talk about the divers, did you get The Sun newspaper yesterday? The divers ruin it. People like Drogba, C. Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Van Nisteroy, the list goes on forever. Football is no longer a sport in most business men eye's they see it as a profitable business and it is look at how much footballers earn in a week not to mention the managers, coaches.
