Paul Hunter was one true Sportsman. An excellent snooker player, and a clean snooker player. He did brilliantly to continue playing and competing, while his biggest battle was going on inside him - and he always had a smile on his face.
An example to everyone. RIP x
It's sad when anyone dies, but for someone to be taken so young is a tragedy. Thoughts are with his friends and family.
That's the same age as me. It makes you think, doesn't it?
Wow! 27 is awefully young. RIP to Paul
I agree.
He might have been a bit posey, but then again why shouldn't he be?
He was a nice enough bloke, and no-one deserves to die that young.
A sad loss.
I am gutted! I feel for his family and Friends.
Such a talented player and such a nice guy!
Your right in saying "only the good die young"
R.I.P Paul.
A terrible tragedy for his wife family and friends

snooker has lost a star, and we have all lost a real decent guy. he will be missed.
It's a real shame, I am a real snooker fan but I wasn't aware that he was so ill.
It's terribly sad. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
R.I.P Paul my thoughts go to the family left behind time is a great healer dont weep 4 him he is not gone but near you and with you in spirit
He was like a breath of fresh air for snooker.. A trendy player at last that plays with a smile. He just seemed like a real top bloke.
I remember thinkin how I envied him cos he had the looks, the hair, the youth, the snooker skill and with that the fame and fortune.
Now I realise this kind of thing can happen to anyone to end it just like that.
I`m genuinely Gutted!!
Paul Hunter has shown an unbelievable level of courage. I am amazed at his bravery. In my eyes, he was definitely a future world champion. It doesn't seem fair.
Leeds has lost a favorite son.
Rest in peace Paul.
I saw the guy twice, last time was when he came back to beat Feargal O'Brien after which he admitted to having sex between sessions to buck him up. The bloke was a bloody hero and will be sadly missed. RIP Paul
Totally agree with you, great player, great guy. A lways played the game with a good temprement and even made a comeback to the table after his chemo. He"ll be sorley missed in the game.
i was truly shocked, i thought he was on the mend. My heart
cries out for paul and his wife and baby. Perhaps they could name a trophy in his memory notwithstanding John Spencer.
absolutely gutted when i found out this morning. i really thought that he was getting beter, he leaves behind a wife and a nine month old daughter too, a young man with a young family. y does it happen to good people i dont know. snooker will miss him, he brought a bit of status to it and got people interested in the game. he played through the pain he was dedicated and a great talent. r.i.p paulie. x i was definetly shocked at the age factor i am 23 and it has got me thnnkin aa lot about life today. it is scary
Rest in Peace Paul
You will be truely missed
My thoughts go out to his family & freinds
here here, our thoughts are with his family.
Brave, talented, fun, loved and admired by his fellow professionals and good looking. It is so heart rending to think that someone should be taken so young. I bet he died with a final smile on his face- he seemed that sort of person. He achieved a lot in his short life but there should have been so much more to come. Rest in peace Paul - you will not be forgotten.
He was so brave to carry on competing because chemotherapy is so debilitating and there are so many side effects, quite apart from hair loss in some cases. He must have felt zapped sometimes sitting waiting for his turn. Speaking as one who knows, there is nothing like a horizontal surface anywhere when the fatigue hits home, but not Paul, he sat there in his chair awaiting his turn and his head full of thoughts that would probably have distracted a super fit player back to the dressing room. Such a brave young man.
please send your condolences here to Paul Hunter, would really appreciate it,
