Can N. Ireland get through the group stages of European Cup.?
Answers:
probably not but 12 months ago I would have said definitely not.
But good wins over England and Spain should what a big improvement they are making after being unable to score.
But losing to Iceland shows their inconsistency.
I fear not, especially with Sweden and Denmark also in the group, but last night's result will boost the team's confidence no end!
At least they havn't got Germany - 13 nil!!
No chance. last night may have been a fluke but i never saw the game. if they can be consistent in there games then they might have a chance but i dont see it. have you seen scotland's group? if they make it through i will eat my shoes lol
It would be just great and why not eh! They deserve some of the glory.
I dont think they have good enough players to get through the group stages but then again last night proved they definately have the heart!!
why not? they wont win the tournament though
Not a chance. They will get a couple of good results (like last night), but they will fail in too many other games.
Dont be silly!
Never in a million years
Unfortunately no, the group is a tough one.
Great result against Spain, think they will have a few good results but not enough quality in the team.
I think potentially they can, provided they win their next game.
They deserve it. I suspect everyone whos critising them in this thread is English, and theyre just bitter because a year ago today we thrashed them something shockin!
1-0.
haha
i'd love if it they did but it will be hard with the other teams in the groups but last night was a great result and should boost confidence..who knows if they can do it once they can do it again...never say never
Not a chance in hell.
No way!!
They may get the odd good result there and then but not in big international competitions like euro and world cup im afraid!!
well done last night after a brilliant shocking comeback against spain!
no
no chance.
