The Rangers need more firepower we cant rely on jagr for everything?
i am a massive ny rangers fan but cant help noticing that the nhl seems to be passing us by while most other teams are out securing top players for the season we seem to be letting them go what does everyone else think .

Lets go rangers.......yo. have got a point although shanny could already be the answer i think renney must be happy with what he's got so lets trust him.......... players like petr prucha,martin straka,jarkko immonen,matt cullen and michal rozsival all get there fair share of points so if we have to stick with what we've got i still feel we are up there for the stanley cup.
The Rangers definatly need someone else if they want to be a serious contender. Jagr is one of, if not the best player in the NHL. However he cant do it all himself. They have Straka too, whos a great player, but they need another player. I dont know who they drafted, but maybe whoever it was is the answer to what they are lookin for. They have a great goaltender too. They just need that second threat.
Brendan Shanahan signed with the Rangers and scored 41 goals last year - the Rangers also have rookie Petr Prucha who scored a bunch - the Rangers scoring isn't their problem nor is their stellar rookie in nets - it's the Rangers' defense that is their weak link.
That is why they got Shanny , to anchor the second line. Lundquist is going to be even better and the young D guys will be solid. We will be good . Pre-season game on MSG tonight.
NYR needs more players than just Jager. He cant carry the team on his own. Maybe with the new players they will do better. At least they made it to the finals last season
I love the NYR. but there defense leaves a lot to be desired. you can score 100 goals a game but if your defense gives up 101 you still lose.
they need big hulking punishing defensemen.
Shanahan might help a bit. But Rangers SUCK anyways!!!
