What do the coloured dots on squash balls mean?

There are blue dots, red dots, yellow dots, and double yellow dots.
But what exactly do they determine?
Is it the level of bounce? - Which is which?

Answers:
Small colored dots on the ball indicate the level of bounciness, hence, the standard of play it's suited for. A bouncier ball is said to be "fast", when a bouncy ball is said to be "slow."

The recognized colors are:
Double Yellow-extra super slow
Yellow-Super Slow
Green or White-Slow
Red-Medium
Blue-Fast
The dots relate to the speed of the ball. And the length of time the ball will take to heat up. The hotter the ball the faster it palys.
It is the level of bounce. Blue bounces a lot, yellow bounces less and double yellow almost dies after it hits the wall. I've never used red or white.
The colours of the dots indicate the speed of the ball. There are also specifications laid down for size, thickness of material and 'Rebound Resiliance' at given temperatures.

Yellow dot - Super Slow
White dot or Green dot - Slow
Red dot - Medium
Blue dot - Fast

The slowest speed of balls intended for usage in Championships or by Elite Players may, if required, be marked with a double yellow dot.
i thought it was weight and bounce.

The dots are in relation to the speed and bounce of the ball 'hang time' in the air. The blue and red dots are aimed at beginners because they bounce higher giving the player more time to hit the ball. The yellows are aimed at better players, the single yellow dot bounces higher than the double yellow dot ..double yellow dots are aimed at good to elite players as they have less 'hang time' than all other balls, hence the player has less time to hit the ball before it bounces twice.
