Two possible answers:
1. You did catch something in there ( it's not extremely possible, but still.)
2. you have an allergy. Do you have any idea HOW much and WHAT they have to put in to swimming pool to accept all people who wants to swim??
I have a nasty cough after swimming.
perhaps someone has been doing the doggy paddle in the pool and that`s where you caught it,mind you i always get itchy feet when doing the breast stroke
You could have picked up some athletes foot from the showers and such.

The heavily chlorinated water could aggravated the symptoms.
Try showering with dove soap, then applying Alpha Keri oil to your feet and drying your feet with a hair dryer on low setting.
I developed a fungal infection on my toe nail, because I was not drying my feet properly after swimming and then putting on trainers. Apparently this can also cause other types of foot problems, as can swimmimg pool showers and floors. Try wearing verucca socks, they may prevent you from picking up any nasties.
It is highly likely you caught athletes foot, it is a fungal skin infection which thrives on wet floors and wet feet. Symptoms include, severe itching and burning that is not relieved by scratching, flaking skin between toes or on the soles of the feet, if you don't normally have smelly feet you will notice they are suddenly quiet whiffy and may have to peel off your socks at the end of the day.
Never ignore this, if you want to carry on swimming then make sure you shower after swimming and use a mildy medicated bodywash such as Cuticura. Use an athletes foot powder or spary on clean dry feet and in training shoes. Don't use treat once only preparations, they don't work, you need to work hard to drive out the infection.
Soak your feet in warm water and dettol two or three times a week until it's gone. Wear clean fresh cotton socks every day, don't wear nylon socks as nylon makes your feet sweat more and spreads the infection so soccer socks are out for a while!. Good luck getting rid of it, it can be stubborn!
Chances are it is athelete's foot, you can get medicated powders and creams at any store. Gold Bond works good as does Dr Scholl's. In the future be sure you wear deck shoes or thongs to and from the pool and in the locker rooms. Step out of them and directly in to the pool and also on to a towel in the locker rooms. This will help prevent future outbreaks.
Do you use slippers? The cause of your skin problem might be the floor, while you are walking around the pool. I had also skin problems, and the usage of slippers was a good solution.
No go to a podiatrist and seek professional advice and help but stopping is a cowards behaviour.
