Why do people have such a problem with Peter Crouch?
he's a great player, scores loadsa goals for both club and country, yet people still slate him. i know he's tall, but does that really matter? plus, people say he's ugly, which i completly disgree with, he's hot. why does his height get put in front of his ability?

Lets be honest..if he was only 6' 1" no-one would criticise him.
His facial looks have nothing to do with it.he's better looking than Rooney for a start.Its just because he's very tall and gawky that he gets a lot of grief, which I agree is stupid. But the fact that he is so tall and very thin makes him look a little uncordinated sometimes, which he clearly isn't.

Crouch and kuyt upfront 4eave, what a prtnership, if crouch holds the ball and kuyt gets into his natural goal scoring positions liverpool should actually start winning again, and gerrard should be played in the center not on the right!
i think he is a more effective player if he comes off the bench, i certainly wouldnt start him for england.mind u, who would u start for england up front, none of them are outstanding are they

I will tell you my problem with Peter Crouch. He got himself sent of 5 games to go at the end of the Season while still with Southampton. Stupid stupid stupid. Cost us our place in the Premiership.
My problem with Crouch is his inconsistancy.

lets see. he was useless at aston villa, and for a whole season he was useless for liverpool.
and that is not an underestimation. but for a striker who had 38 appearances for both clubs only to score 5 goals. that isn't the mark of a great striker.
erm. peter crouch is ugly. but he is a player whos begining to find his feet and they talk about his height because he's one of a handful in the whole football league who is 6' 7'' tall.
so people dont have as so much a problem with crouch. he's just let a lot of supporters down with some of his poor playing over the years. you talk like he's become a sensation overnight. he has been in the premiership for 5 years now. and we've only seen 2 seasons from him so far.

Peoples main problem is his complete lack of skill, i've never actually seem him score a goal that a 5 year old couldn't have put in - But am gonna eat my words now Crouch consistantly scores which is more than can be said for a lot of "skillful" premiership strikers.
On the matter of his looks - i think that its his likeness to Plug from the Bash Street kids that really nails the head on to the fact he is one butt ugly player
