The funny thing about sports in America is that for almost any sport, we are only concerned about our own city. Now, of course that isn't true for everyone. And it is certainly not true with football. Amazing, but when you look at baseball, the World Series is watch by a lot of us, but mostly the people who are fans of the city the teams are from. Football is different. Almost 2/3 of the country watch the Super Bowl and Monday night football is huge. In my experience, that is the one sport where people watch just to watch the sport. They don't care who is playing. It is all about the event. Almost everything else, it is about the cities playing or sometimes specific players in the game. Interesting. Same thing with college football.
