Why is there very little atmosphere at Anfield nowadays. It is becoming embarrasing

i was there at the reading game, and the atmosphere was great to start of with and then died down.
i think its because the fans dont no what will happen next.
there is gr8 atmosphere at anfield,they are the second loudest supporters in the premiership only portsmouth are in front of them,even better than chelsea and man u ha ha ha!
