Saw highlights. Brilliant goal and some outstanding saves by the goalie. It was lovely to see the top dogs humbled. I must also say I thought Ferguson was very gracious about it. I think that's the first time I've ever seen him smile, even though he had nowt to smile about.

Im an arsenal supporter so was happy to see that result. but you cant take anything away from southend, they played well and scored a great goal.. cant see why they are doing so bad in the league. Hopefully they will start to turn things around

I have never laughed so much in all my life, not taking anything away from Southend but the gulf in class is huge, however on the night you couldnt tell which side was in the Premiership. It wasnt the best game but it was the best result!

Well I am a Manchester United Supporter, And all I can say is WELL DONE Southend you deserved to win last night, I think if the truth be known, you wanted the win more than us, and NO I am not going to put any blame on the referee for our losing the game, we lost so we are to blame. To Asian B I must object to what you have written, as we won the Carling Cup last Season, so it`s highly unlikely that we would call it a mickey mouse cup. if your going to be nasty, at least speak the truth.
its was nice to see the underdog win for a change - look at the population of the place compared to manchester and the buget for the team - it was a great day !
Great game. Sometimes this type of game is a disappointment but Southend gave an entertaining display. Hope the Gents toilets in the away end have improved over the last couple of years!
