Are Scotland the best International football team in the UK?
Looks that way to me at the moment-can't think of any better team on current form-If Scotland played McClaren's England-they'd probably prevail!!

Until then, 1 swallow doesn't make a summer. Italy have lost away from home, so have France, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Scotland will eventually follow suit.
And they still remain favourites to qualify.

Every team has its 15 minutes of fame. Scotland had its moment in 1967 since which time you Jocks have been in hiding. I have a few scottish friends and even they say their team is s---t, but its their s---t. I personally think that it would be great if the english team had the fight of the scots but they get worried when they ladder their stockings.
Suppose its a matter of greater skill V greater fight. I leave the choice to you.

wasn`t too long ago that the scots were managing a draw against that well known off shore weather forecast the faroe Islands..shame Bertie left , it was a golden time for England supporters !!

England beat them 40 years ago and Scotland has just go rid of a sh*t krout manager , who was rather f***in' useless. He couldn't speak our loacal lingo for a start. Walter Smith is an entirely different character and a fellow Scot. His aim is to stop Scotland under-performing , he has already raised them up spiritually. Watch this space!

I'm feeling alot of bitterness on this page, probably from the English after a disappointing game! So what if Scotland got abit of luck - thats football! If it wasn't for (alot of) luck i don't think England would've even won the World Cup in 66. Lets not forget Englands game against Argentina in 66'. Had the Argentines not been wrongly relegated to 10 men i doubt they would have made it through to the final. Geoff Hirsts' goal was NOT a goal against Germany!! Thats a fact! If that goal had been ruled off the game would probably have ended differently.
Whats this "only 1 game" melarky?? If i'm not mistaken its 3-in-a-row so far in this competition. Under Smith we've only lost 3 of our last fourteen Internatiaonals. For a team like Scotland (esp after Berti wanked it up!) i think we're doing extremely well.
I know i sound anti-english but i'm really not. England is, on paper, a technically better team with fantastic players but, like the American Ryder Team, they can't seem to play well as a team. I also think the FA could've picked a better manager from list of quality potentials.
