Whats the cheapest way of getting Premier League on SKY?
I like many other people only want SKY for premier league football (i.e the SkySports channels), so today I had a look at the Sky site. Unfortunately SKY aren't stupid and know that most people are after the football, and so they bundle it with their premium packages that are most expensive.
The thing is, I don't give two sods about movies, discovery channel, shopping channels, kids TV etc I only want the football.
So is there a trick to getting a cheaper package, maybe with a third party supplier. Its annoying because Sky do do good football coverage, but monopolising, and forcing us to buy premium packs is not good for us consumers.

i think you can get the cheapest pacage and then subscribe to sky sports 1 and 2 not one percent but ive got the whole thing and every now and then like when the rider cups about to come on or a big sporting avent they have adverts to subsribe to sky sports 1.
get a chiped box on NTL
Theres a sky package called SPORTS MIX, it has skysports 1,2,3 and skysports xtra and also includes PremPlus, and few other sports channels phone them and ask about it.
You don't need Sky at all. I have a European satellite set-up, all the Prem. you can handle,more games than Sky!, and lots more - Scottish, French, Champs Lge, and other sports (no cricket) on ART(Arabic) TV. - on Hotbird 13 degrees east. You need a different set-up, and a viewing card(from around £80/year). Check out the website, below. Email me if you want full info.
