Hatton vs Mayweather?
If this fight ever happens, who do you think would win? many people class Mayweather as the best pound for pound boxer in the world, and Hatton has been looked impressive in his last few fights, it's a tough call but my money would be on the "Pretty Boy" what do you think?

Santana stole my thunder, Brent stole my lightning! I have a similar opinion of Santana's with regard to Mayweather's person, unfortunately no one can deny that his skills are on a different level than that of hatton.
On a seperate note, I've watched fighters like Mayweather evolve. They don't start out all arrogant and cocky. They start at the bottom like everyone else. You get a few belts and everyone telling you that you're pfp the best in the sport, I guess the arrogance comes with it. I mean, no one can kick your butt, you get paid and endorsed to kick everyone elses butt, so I guess you slowly develop a chip (or in Floyd's case, a 2x4) on your shoulder..
Maybe one of these days we'll see a champion with humility and grace. But we won't hold our breath, will we...
hatton, only because i think his passion carries him through many of his fights and he can summon energy from nowhere feeding of this passion!
Your right though it would be very close and one hell of a fight to watch!!
Hatton
Mayweather without a doubt.Hatton needs to fight some tougher opponenents in North America
Easily mayweather.hatton fights crappier opponets and he only fights close to home..if he comes to the US, he will get smacked around like the little b!tch that he is.

In my opinion, this wouldn't be anything close to a fight. Ricky has proved he doesn't carry any power up with him weight, the Callazo fight is a perfect example. Hatton has no head movement to speak of so he would be a human punching bag the whole time this fight lasted, although I don't think that Floyd can knock Ricky out, he might be able to swell him up and cut him making the referee stop the contest.
Ricky Hatton is one of the most overrated fighters out there today, he's a tough kid who's nothing special, the gyms across America are filled with all kinds of Ricky Hattons. In England, Ricky is considered "Great" (doesn't say much for the English fight fans, does it?) but over here he just another small fish in the great big ocean.
I have no respect for Floyd as a fighter, but he is the better boxer of the two and his superior speed would be the biggest difference in this fight, both Hatton and Mayweather are equal in power (neither one can brake a egg at 147) Floyd is the sharper more accurate puncher who would land the shorter crisper shots on a looping (wide punching) Hatton.
Referee would stop this fight in the 8th round due to the fact that "The Hitman" wouldn't be able to see. Floyd would make this as boring as the Baldomir fight.
Thanks for the question Jamieson.
This fights a joke, and no Hatton hasnt looked impressive in his last few outings. His last fight (Collazo) could have gone either way. Anyone who is remotely close to Floyd's size stands no chance against him, he has established this. He needs to step it up and take on some big, active welters (Williams, Maragarito, or even Cintron) or retire like he was whining about the other night. Oh, and Floyd has tried to get a fight with Hatton (which makes sense seeing how easily he could beat him) and Hatton wants no part of it, so dont expect this to ever go down.
PBF too fast for the Hatton. Santana, I say respectfully, stole my thunder on this question.
all about mayweather,
like santan said ricky can't step up the weight and fight comfortable in it,
i would like to see the fight tho
I agree with you. Ricky is a great fighter to watch, but he can and has been outboxed on several occasions. Also, he has tender skin and will most likely cut, and possibly bad as well. To beat a fighter like Mayweather, you would have to be a slick infighter with great head movement as well as brawling abilities..Roberto Duran was the best, and used this to outbox and outfight a bigger Suger Ray Leonard. Mayweather is'nt Leonard and Hatton sure aint Duran. There is an old boxing adage which says: 'A good boxer (Mayweather) will always beat a great fighter (Hatton)
PS I still have'nt seen Floyd tested yet, so I don't really know how good he is!
At 147lbs., Mayweather easily wins. At 140lbs., Hatton has a shot but I still see PBF being too slippery jabbing his way to a decision.
Are u serious? Pretty Boy would KILL hatton ! Hes waaaaay too fast for Hatton.
maywhether would win because he has pure boxing skill, simply look at this video he is class!!!

hatton is just a fighter who mixes it up and beats people up but does not have the class that flyod maywhether posseses.
I think Mayweather is too fast. That said, Hatton is a tough cookie. But.let's be real. Does any realist see Hatton catching Mayweather. Floyd would probably knock Hatton out. But what weight would they fight at? Welter? For whose title?
Mayweather
I think Mayweather!!
hatton would win!!1he has intelligence and resilience 2 beat mayweather.up till now mayweather has been made look better because the likes of gatti gave him room 2 pick his shots and get leverage behind them.hatton would close the gap and break his ribs shortly after weathering the mayweather storm of the first 5rounds!!hatton mst likely 2 win by ko!!1111
That fight will never happen, Mayweather already has that reputation of picking fighters he knows he can beat to show off his skills and improve his "perfect" record to proclaim himself pound for pound the best fighter
Mayweather will definately win - he is just an amzing boxer! He's got speed, power, style, grace and balance. Hatton just charges at people and I think that if he did that against Mayweather he'd get a pretty bad beating. Mayweather would just jab, jab, and then hook him with a stiff right hand. You can't have a go at Mayweather for bing a "pretty boy" because it just means he doesn't get hit - just like Ali.

this fight is a non-starter because mayweather has already said he is going to pack in boxing after one more fight and he wants to fight oscar de le hoya,if hatton did fight him i think hatton would have a good go but he would get beat and then retire.
Think a lot of yanks underestimate Ricky. Saying he cant move his head cant in fight cant short punch. Rubbish, Mayweather might well win but America is not full of Rikki`s ask Costa Tsu. I would say that if Rikki puts his mind to it and really turns up on the night he could trouble Floyd. Cuts might be a problem.
