Why do all Fans of big football clubs think??

That the Carlling cup is a non cup which they are not bothered about?? (Well when they are knocked out of it they think this) And all they say is only small teams like spurs are bothered with a cup like that. At the end of the day it is still a trophy and you STILL have to beat the best teams in the premiership to win it. How can it be a NON trophy if the likes of liverpool man u chelsea and arsenal are it it? The funniest thing is when they say im not bothered about the carling cup we will consentrated on the Champions league title which Lets face it none of them will actually win... then when it gets to the end of the season and a club like spurs on newcastle have the carling or fa cup and Utd Arsenal and liverpool have nothing. surely we are better off!! So screw all you loosers! And all i can say is i really hope that spurs get an English Champions league reject in the nockouts of the Uefa cup!!

I have said my bit.

Why do all Fans of big football clubs think??

I wasn't aware they did.
I'm not sure they think that anymore do they? Since Chelsea have started literally buying all of the competitons, smaller cups are recognised by many as their only chance to win any "silverware".

Man U won the cup last season. And last night against Southend they fielded a fairly strong team.
ah the spirit of competition still exists. they think its not important because they qualify for europe other ways. i think they should be fined for not playing their best squad. nicely said by the way.
i'm still getting over how we abused Chelsea the other day.they are still crying about how its the ref's fault.

but you are right, the carling cup is still a cup. i'd rather win a smaller cup than nothing at all.

I would never say i don't want to win it, after all its the first guaranteed place in Europe, but if you want preferences here they are.
1. premiership
2. champions league
3. world club championship
4. F.A. cup
5. Carling cup
6. UEFA super cup
7. Charity shield

I didn't include the uefa cup cause you cant win it and champs in one season.
Oh and did i mention thanks for teddy !
Greetings from your superior North London rivals, (well i say rivals but the chasm between us now is so vast, it's really not a rivalry),

Put it this way, if you had a choice between winning a million quid or winning a £1000 which would you choose? The million? Thought so. Sure you have to beat the big teams to win the Carling Cup, but the teams put out well below strength teams while the minnows for whom the Carling Cup is a big deal are busting their guts. Given that Man U won Champs League 7 years ago and Arsenal were runners up in 2005, it seems a pretty strange statement to say that 'none of them actually win it'.

You'll understand when you are fighting for position at the top of the Premiership and playing in the Champs League. Whoops, did I say 'when'? Spurs in the Champs League? Not in my lifetime.
The carling cup is merely a chance for lower league teams to get their 90 minutes of fame against the big premiership clubs and it is only these "David vs Goliath" games that anyone takes an interest in. It is a cup founded on corporate sponsorship and hjas none of the true ideals of the sport at its heart.
The biggest losers are spurs first time they have beat Chelsea in Years.Perhaps Chelsea felt sorry for spurs and let them win for a change. But they wont win that cup.hahahahahahaha.
carling cup is not really important, but it's a chance for lower teams to shine
I agree with you a bit & disagree with you a bit. Priorites..

1 Premiership
2 Champions League
3 FA Cup
4 Carling Cup

I normally find that the big teams i.e Chelsea Liverpool Man Utd field a mixture of first team players & squad players in the early rounds. It's like they half heartedly want to win it, but at the same time they're not too bothered if they go out.
Once they get to the semi-finals they sense glory & want to win it so they put a full strength team out. This is what Liverpool, Chelsea & Man Utd did two seasons ago.

Say Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea go out tonight then it's not the end of the world for them because they've got 3 more important trophies to play for.

Basically if you put your full strength team out & lose then you can't say the trophy didn't mean anything. If you put 1/2 first team players & 1/2 squad players in then you have kind of got an excuse.

Pity cos I would love to see full strength teams in The Carling Cup.

Oh by the way SOUTHEND SOUTHEND SOUTHEND.
With any cup comp, if you win it its fantastic, if you're out, its Mickey Mouse.
spurs could meet arsenal in the uefa cup next round.
