Will Kurt Angle be the spark that TNA needs to legitimately compete with the WWE?

I would love to hear the background story on that career move. I hope it does help, and I heard that TNA will be moving to prime time in November, so that will help as well. The WWE has been going downhill for quite some time now, it's rather disappointing. Smack Down is way better than RAW but over all, WWE was way better when it had some competition and had to actually put some thought into their show.
i hope so, i really do
He could be yes, but one man can't make the company, if others follow suite then yes.

I hope so anyway.
While I think the world of Kurt Angle, I have to say no. As long as TNA continues to give Jarrett the belt and main event him, and hold back the younger guys, they will never beat the WWE. TNA management needs to look at WCW and realize that they can not run their company like they are, or they will suffer the same fate as WCW
hey look. its all controlled by vince mcman now so who cares what Kurt Angle does, he is still geting paid by the vince mcman.weather he's in the wwe or tna he still sucks!!
they will be as good very soon
one guy doesn't make or break the corporation and besides, TNA has this habit as i said before of signing up ex-WWE rejects for a reason: for that they'd been axed by the WWE! Angle is a good technical wrestler who specialises in traditional mat wrestling, but in regards to personality for me, he lacks charisma. unless they have someone who is good as and has as big a reputation and personality as say hulk hogan, undertaker or shawn michaels, then TNA will always play second fiddle to WWE no matter what.
I HAVE TO ADMIT I MISS THE ATTITUDE DAYS WITH THE MINISTRY, COPORATE ,COPORATE MINISTRY, DX,THE NATION ALL THOSE DAYS WHEN KANE HAD THE MASK AND WWE HASNT BEEN ABLE 2 MATCH THE EXCITEMENT THEY HAD IN THOSE DAYS WWE IS GOIN DOWNHILL BUT THE FINANCIAL GAP BETWEEN TNA AND WWE WILL BE A KEY FACTOR INTO WHO WINS THE WAR BUT I EXPECT WWE TO TAKEOVER TNA IN THE END AND BE READY FOR ANOTHER ALLIANCE STORYLINE
Kurt Angle will play an important factor to promoting TNA.

I believe Kurt made the right move because I feel he wants to utilise better style of wrestling (the old-school ways - with the modern style). I believe the WWE have held him back on his 'true' skills so it doesnt make the other top stars in the WWE look as bad.

In TNA, there are some awesome talent, and I just hope TNA gives them the oppotunity to use it properly.

AJ Styles and Senshi have had some awesome matches in Japan and I hope, along with Kurt Angle and others. they bring that style into TNA. This will completely make Vince McMahon crap his pants if TNA go into that direction.

There is nothing wrong to have some storyline in the Wrestling business.. but the WWE go too far with it rather than focusing on decent style of wrestling!! I kbow TNA have their share of silly storylines. but I hope they dont go overboard with that.

Dont get me wrong as the WWE have some awesome talent to. William Regal and Chris Benoit can do much better wrestling than what you see of them in WWE. It just shows that the WWE dont use their skills effeciently. There are a few other wrestlers in WWE that can perdorm so much better.. it wouldnt surprise me if they make a move to TNA in the future.

I wish Kurt Angle all the best.
No, as big a star as Kurt Angle is, he is not enough to give TNA that much of a boost- but he is a start.
No, but he will, definately, push them in that direction.

Kurt Angle jumped for 2 reasons

1. He only has to wrestle once a week, twice occasionally, therefore giving his beaten body time to heal!!
2. They only wrestle in Orlando, only occasionally going on the road, he will be grounded in one place rather than be on the road 300 days a year. The same 2 reasons Sting chose TNA over WWE.

TNA will never be able to truly compete with the WWE. The owners, including Jeff Jarrett, were WCW writers and wrestlers who were not offered jobs with the WWE. They do not have the talent or the star power, there are a couple of young guys that stand out and the X division is awesome. They do not and will not have the funding to fully compete either. That being said I am also a fan of TNA but they just don't have what it takes to compete with the WWE!
Kurt Angle was wwe superstar but has been released from his contract early due to all the injuries in the past cause when he stepped into the ring he was in that much pain that i would have to take pain killers. i also think it is possible for him to spark off a ratings war between wwe and tna
kurt angle said in an interview that he doesnt want to be put in direct compotition with wwe , because wwe have been good to him. hope this helps!
no chance, as soon as they show any signs of being a legit threat, vince will aggressively market against them and drive them out of business. Angle is way past his best and it would be wrong to expect him to carry the company in light of all hi physical problems
Angle was smart. It was reported on many sites that people felt at the pace he was wrestling for WWE that many though he would die early like Eddie Guerrero. He quit WWE because wrestling most every night was too much.

In TNA his schedule is greatly reduced. When healthy, he is a flat out show stopper.

This isn't the last signing for TNA; there are rumors that other former stars as well as present WWE stars are looking to come TNA's way.

Somoa Joe was greatly wanted by WWE but he resigned with TNA.

TNA will not be as succesful as WWE right now, but they are doing well. If they can get the air time, they'll be popular because they actually wrestle during their shows and the wrestling is really good. WWE is smut tv with very little wrestling (only 20-25 minutes for every 2 hours of wrestling) where TNA is mostly wrestling.

Team 3D, Christian Cage, Angle, The Dudleys, James Gang, LAX; they have some nice talent. It's also rumored that if things don't go well they are going to push big time for Chris Jericho but Jericho wants the money and likes WWE. It will be interesting.
yes but the thing about him is that he's wrestling injuried since he refuses to take time out to recover from his injuries he suffered from throughout the years. so right now yes, it's got people talking about TNA which is a good thing. But in the future it might not be a good thing if he continues at getting injuired and not taking time out. If that happens many people might stop watching TNA since he won't be there and he's the reason why their interests peaked in the first place.
Just a comment for the guy that says that Vince McMahon runs everything. Vince runs WWE and ECW, he doesn't have anything to do with TNA. I don't think TNA needs Kurt Angle to compete I think going to prime time will be all they need.
Look at it realistically: Kurt Angle wrestled for WWE for 6+ years, and WWE pushed him and pushed him and pushed him (most of the doctors that reccomended he retire were not employed by WWE), and then when they decided he'd slipped they dropped him like a sack of spuds. TNA picked him up because Angle was DESPERATE to carry on wrestling. Didn't matter for WHO, just as long as he kept on wrestling.

As much as it pains me to admit it, TNA has gotten a bit of a bum deal. A broken down Angle, another WWE reject, and they payed a fortune for him.
Im on my soap box now the wwe made one big mistake by first moving angle from smackdown to raw back to smackdown then ecw if thats not being under used what is. Who could he feud with in ecw that he hasnt before he has faced rvd and big show many times. So i think good on you kurt for getting out of dodge anfd going to another promotion. lastley i hope he kiks jarretts *** because i fell he is a wrestler who when he is on top dosent like losing the title
