Why in professional golf competitions are caddy's not allowed to use a golf trolley?
Answers:
because they get paid good money DUH
Because of Rodney Dangerfield's trolly in Caddyshack!
Because they may use it as a marker for the player they are caddying for and that is not allowed.
because then there is no need for the caddy is there
Probably because they may use it as a marker for the player they are caddying for and that is not allowed.
Because it is against the rules.
carrying a bag is easier and time consuming, as you can shortcut across greens whereas with trolleys you would have to around, would not allowed on tees etc
really think of it this way!, would you pay somebody to push a trolley!!? NO! they get paid for carrying thier back! Also this wouldnt be appropriate for time! as with a trolley you would have to walk all the way around the green, then this would cost a lot more time then just walking over the green with the trolley as they have to clean the players balls, oops i mean ball! (LOL) just somebody years ago said you know what i dont want somebody to get paid for pulling a trolley they shouldnt be alloweed ansd they should be made to carry!
they ARE allowed to, i played in a lot of local pro events in the midlands,it was never a problem.but its easier and less time consuming walking a direct route with the bag rather than having to run across the otherside of the green to get your trolley to go to the next tee.if you play golf you know exactly what i mean
I don ´t think this is quite true; certainly not on the European Seniors Tour I used one caddying for a fellow Pro. If they are not allowed on the regular Tour it is because the players feel they will not receive a professional service--too slow, the caddy not able to be where he is needed:-always at the players side, to offer advice ----club selection, or distance to the flag, lines on the greens; keeping the spectators at arms length, etc.,etc.,
