yes they got closer last year but this year they will score more goals with players like gonzales, pennant and bellamy, as well as having crouch from the start. They will also be better to watch than chelsea, even if they will let in more goals this year. Plus ignore the sheff utd result. Every team has bad results early on - chelsea lost to middlesboro

they have a good chance, but if they are to win the league they must win games at teams like sheff utd. chelsea and man utd will win there so dropping points against these teams you cant afford.

they have a better chance than most. they have invested in some fast attacking wide players like pennant and gonzalez
and two good strikers kuyt and bellamy.ive never seen kuyt play but ive heard was good for his old club. and as for the superb goal by newboy agger at the weekend the defence looks strong even with carragher and riise injured. they have a lot of options .

It is correct to say that Liverpool could win the Premiership because they now have a large squad but the regularity of change and replacement is distabilising both to the players and Manager. Even though the left side is loaded with at least 4 left footed forwards the Manager has added Gonzalez to further confuse matters.But it's true to say the forwardline resembles an Army firing range with the addition of Kuyt, and this could swing the odds against Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal who have overhauled their side with the departure of the wonderful Denis Berkampt.
