It would cost them tens of millions of dollars because it's not only against the rules of baseball, but would damage the integrity of the game. Probably Congress would reconsider their status as the only major baseball league in the nation.

Major league umps make between $84000 and $300000 a year. They'd probably have to pay them a lot more than that to make up for the certain firing the umpire would endure if they were caught.

First of all the Yankee Ball club has WAY to much integrity for such a thing and second..they don't NEED to cheat, they're good enough on there own!
