Does Lerner know anything about football?
If he does why did he buy Aston Villa?

On 5Live last night he said that he wouldn't be 'disingenuous' about his role with Villa, seemed like an alright bloke but clearly had no real conception of football. He was asked if he thought there were similarities between the Cleveland Browns and Villa and he said 'well i don't want to create parallels that aren't really there but both clubs are old industrial centres with serious fans that, for some, football is more important than life or death'.
He's got a lot of money and a good sense of business i'd say, with a far more hands-on approach to be expected rather than the distant dwarf at Man Yoo. He seemed quite charming and enthusiastic without strutting around in Claret and Blue so seems to be aware of the fans and his role in relation to them.
His final thing that he said was 'All i got to do is listen to Martin O'Neill and i'll be heading in the right direction' or words to that effect in relation to the players/coaching side of the club. Think you Villa lot have done alright, swap O'Leary for O'Neill and Ellis for Leary, sounds good when you put it like that.
The same could be asked about any club owner/chairman.most are clueless clowns.
