Does tkd do blocks and vital striking points?

as i have heard when you reach black belt you learn all the major moves

Answers:
Yes, especially combat arts. blocks are learned from the very beginning, and more advanced blocks will come later, but vital areas are mainly used to weaken the opponent (not to kill unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary that you feel like the opponent is going to kill you, then you have the right to use it in that respect, but you DO NOT use it to kill them just because their bugging you, and you just want them to leave you alone, a simple block or strike will sometimes be enough for them to get the idea), giving a slight advantage for another technique that could end the fight or disable the opponent, or if it's a friend or family member, weaken and then restrain them without serious or permanent injury.

you will learn all the major moves BEFORE you recieve a black belt but it doesn't end there at black belt, the first black belt is called first Dan or first degree, there is up to 9 degrees in several disciplines (but not all have that many levels of black belt)including TKD which is often regarded as a grandmaster, but very few people have stuck with it long enough to make that level of mastery.

One last thing: If someone ever challenges you to "show me what you know" you don't have to show them anything, you have nothing to prove to them, instead, invite them to come and watch the class to see for themselves.
block n vital striking moves are leaerned in the early level ( green or blue). no need to wait until black. you learn all the major moves in the red belt.
twice
it does do both, u usually learn blocks as soon as u start and vital striking points not long after. u learn the major moves after the first couple of belts aswell.
no there are very little strikign with position trainign. try kung fu for vital point striking
Regardless of grade you should be made aware of all major vital spots and learn the many strikes and blocks associated with them. Many of the patterns in Tae Kwon Do leading uo to black belt include strikes and blocks to vital areas e.g. Yul Gok (blue belt pattern) features low front kicks to the groin.
