Apart from playing in the SPL, is there any other connection with celtic and Scotland?

Answers:
they play in glasgow perhaps?
15 points ahead of Rangers.
I'M not sure i understand your question what connection do you need? the history of the club? the scottish players who played for celtic? the fact the ground is in glasgow? what??

Oi the tim's from the R.O.I. Watch yer wallet they will take it Too!
Celtic represents the Catholic part of Scotland. Rangers are the Protestant part of Scotland. These two religions are rivals and they often clash in Northern Ireland.

If I remember correctly, Celtic and Rangers were formed by Catholic and Protestant immigrants from Ireland respectively.
Please..can't believe you've gone to the trouble of posting this question..are you 5?
Yeah. The majority of supporters but your question is a thinly disguised attempt at sectarianism. Give it up and get on with the football. Celtic are better than Rangers this year and it has nothing to do with what goes on off the Park.
Like Manchester the city was split into 2 sections united like Celtic are the catholic side Rangers and city the protestant side yeah Britain managed to form an AL quieda before the Arabs only we called it papies and protestants
Of course there is! they are the CHAMPIONS.of Scotland, were formed in Scotland, their home's in Scotland, their manager's Scottish, not forgetting, 11 young Scottish lads went to Lisbon and won the European Cup in Celtic colours, we're a 100% Scottish club unfortunately, otherwise we'd be winning more European trophies... Up the Jock'tic
Yeah, we're the Scottish Champions and will be again this season by a mile...

The sky is blue, the grass is green

The league was won by Halloween!

Hail Hail
aye we keep the european dream alive for scotland hail hail we are the people Gods People and are big hearts
From a Lanarkshire town, came a man of great renown
Received an education, working under-ground
A bevan boy by trade, he worked and then he played
With Albion Rovers, he soon made the grade.

(chorus)
Because Jock Stein was a man, who was always in command
He didn’t give a damn if you’re a Billy or a Dan
He was the greatest ever seen, an he love the Bhoys in green
Jock Stein, was a Celtic fan.

For seven years or more, he made the Rovers roar
Then in 1950, he set out to explore
In Wales he settled down, with Llanelli Town
When he started full time football, a new lease of life was found.

In 51 of late, a simple twist of fate
Brought him back to Scotland, and through the Parkhead gates
To captain he progressed, and he brought some great success
The double and the Coronation Cup with us he blessed.

chorus

He crossed the Country wide, to a new Dunfermline side
He brought them Scottish glory, and a European pride
He moved to Hibs, and then to Paradise again
Soon the trophy’s started coming again and again.

chorus

13 years had gone, big Jock he move on
He won the European Cup in Lisbon in the sun
With 9 flags in a row, and silverware galore
And a whole generation was sad to see him go.

chorus

To Elland Road was bound, but he never settled down
The Scottish fans were calling him back to his native town
Then in 1985, we last saw Jock alive
But he left us special memories right up until he died.
