There have been loads at Hampden and a few at Wembley but I think it was 118,567. Old Firm, January 1939. Ibrox.
Saw somewhere that the record in english football is 83,260 at Maine Road, Manchester on 17th January 1948 between Man Utd and Arsenal. But you're probably going to say the record's in Scotland! Oh well, i tried. Just saw mark corr's answer. He got it!
Well.

West Bromwich Albion's ground is at the highest altitude in the football league so maybe they were the highest attendance?

Or alternatively, I do know of a (different) ground where everyone seems to be spliffing all the way through the match so maybe they are.. mind you, they'd have to be.
sorry its man utd
