Why do you have to wear jodhpurs when horseriding?

Answers:
You don't. However jodhpurs have a reinforced leather seat, so for people who ride everyday, or are training horses everyday, they don't wear out the seat and they help reduce saddle sores. Personally I find jeans comfortable enough, but my wife always jodhpurs, but she also trains multiple horses everyday.
Just like a uniform , when driving a lorry
who says you have to? in shows, they're required as proper dress in the english classes. but if you're just out there riding, you can wear anything you want.unless it's a rule in a club maybe.
you don't have to wear them, they have been designed for horse riding, soft flexible hard wearing close to the skin no studs and so on
I don't!!!
you dont have to but it dose stop places rubbing and holds things in place a bit better be live me it hurts if things get tr aped between you and the saddle
To stop bare skin rubbing, you cant ride in your nickers only and besides its not proper.
You don't but they are 10000 times more comfy than jeans!
mmm
so that men can perve !
You don't HAVE to wear jodhpurs when riding, but they are designed for the job nd are therefore the most comfortable things to wear. They are reinforced in the areas that come into contact with the saddle so that the leather does not rub you. They also have no seam down the inside of the leg (like most trousers and jeans) so that there is no chaffing.

I am, however, firmly of the opinion that men should NOT wear jodhs: in my whole life I have never seen a single man that looks good in them. Please guys, wear jeans and leather full chaps and save the jodhs for compeition only!
Nope, you don't HAVE to wear them. I have never worn them. Then again, I'm a beginner. You might want to as you get more experianced and ride more.
You don't have to, but a lot of people do
