Whats the nearest ski resorts to drive to in France?

If you drive to Folkestone and take the Channel Tunnel to Calais. Then drive south towards Switzerland there are so many resorts on that stretch of the Alps. It takes a day to do the drive . The best way to go is to drive through Germany as the autoban is free and fast. Look it up on RAC route planner. I did it a couple of years ago and we we left home at 4.00am from East London and were at the Alps by 7pm that evening with a long stop and three short stops.
