its simple in the books..but its easier said than done..u have 2 keep the rough side pointing the slips.and the shiny side should be on the leg side.but.this alone is not gonna solve the case.first of all.u have 2 grip the ball more in ur fingers than ur palm..bcoz releaseing the ball matters a hell lot in swinging it..and then seam should be upright whihc helps the ball to swing with more bounce
The seam should face in the direction you want it to swing (to the left slightly),and when you hold the bowl the dull side should be to your left, and the shiny side on the right.
to swing the ball away from a right hander, hold the seam pointing towards first slip and the shiny side looking 'leg side'. Swing is most devastating in overcast conditions and a side-on bowling action will add to the batsmen's misery.
use leg spin and pitch the ball off-stump .
try this....
you need to grip the ball normally straight but put your wrist so it points in the direction you want it to swing when you release the ball.
I had the same problem and a coach managed to get me to swing the ball bothh ways.
You have to make sure that your wrist is pointiong to the left!
The shiny side should be on the left..
