How did I get tennis elbow when I have never played the game in my life?

My doc tells me that I have lateral epicondylitis which is just a fancy term for tennis elbow. The most strenuous sport I play is snooker or pool, so how is this?

Answers:
Lateral epicondylitis comes from repetitive motion, which can be tennis, typing, pool or any activity you do at work. It is the constant activity which causes the lateral epicondylitis, not necessarily tennis.
its just a saying you still using your elbow in that sport
tennis elbow is just a saying in other words if you have this pain it is more common in people who play tennis you dont have to play it yourself.
Do you also get athletes foot!
The same way as you can get missiletoe without becoming an astronaut......
For the same reason you get housemaid's knee
From your PREVIOUS life when you were a tennis player.
You can get it any way by doing something repetitive.
Excessive use of joint can cause tennis elbow and it is bit like non-athletes getting athletes foot.
tennis elbow is caused by liftin havy objects regardless of the fact that u play tennis or not.
