Reliability:-
VO2Max
- In appropriate distances used
- different running surfaces used
- different climatic conditions if performed outdoors
- The speed of the tape player / Distortion to the tape length.
- Not following the procedure / protocol rigidly
Localised muscular endurance / Abdominal curl tests
- In appropriate technique used
- The speed of the tape player / Distortion to the tape length.
- Not following the procedure / protocol rigidly
- Time of day
Validity
VO2Max & Localised muscular endurance / Abdominal curl tests
- May not be sports specific i.e. a swimmer would want to test
their VO2Max but not with this test.
- Localised muscular endurance may be require for a cyclist but
not with a test that measures the endurance of the abdominals.
