Did Arsene Wenger(Arsenal FC) play competive football as a teenager?

Yes, he played in the French League at Strasbourg but he couldn't cut it. He was then appointed as a Youth Manager and later managed Monaco but he left because of corruption in the French League, moved to manage in Japan. Later Arsenal's Vice Chairman David Dein appointed him as Arsenal's Manager until this day.
