to put on micro shot can be very frustrating at times but it does get easier with practice.try putting the split facing you and keep the line tight,once the line lies in the shot bite it shut gently with your teeth. if you have all the openings facing the same way you will have less tangles and start off using size 8 before you go on to smaller sizes and don't use to thick a line. these low diameter pole lines are good(silstar match team is a good starter).ask for a demonstration in any tackle shop as there is always somebody eager to show you.shot pliers are useless.
Olivettes may be a better option as they are less likely to cause tangles in your rig.
