Almost all stadia have had major makeovers since 1990 - but the atmosphere just isn't the same!
i do believe the answer is 7, wether that is as a result of the taylor report is not entirely clear. the 7 are i believe 1)Arsenal 'highbury to emirates' 2) Bolton 'burnden to reebok' 3) Charlton 'upton park back to The Valley' 4)Man City 'maine road to city of manchester stadium' 5)Middlesborough 'ayresome park to riverside' 6)Reading 'elm park to madejski' 7)Wigan 'springfield prk to jjb'. there ha ve been a number of clubs who have changed that are no longe rin the top flight to name bu t two are deby and sunderland, i hope this answer was helpful.
Worth pointing out that in the report Taylor stated that there would be no need to vastly increase ticket prices.. and used Ibrox's £6 as an indication as to what should be charged.
However due to the birth of the Premier League and major cash infux, teams used this as an opportunity to totally modernise their stadium facilities, and took out huge loans to fund the redevelopment as the FA only raised support of around £2million per club from the pools coupons, which would soon be replaced by the national lottery. Ticket prices increased in order to pay back these loans.
But to answer your question. Leicester (Walkers Stadium), Middlesboro (BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium), Bolton W (Reebok Stadium), Man City (COM Stadium), Arsenal (Emirates Stadium), Sunderland (Stadium of Light), Derby Co (Pride Park), Southampton (Friends Provident St Marys Stadium), Coventry (Ricoh Arena) all have moved grounds since the report.
