Can anyone please tell me how I can go about getting some autographs?
I am looking to get my Chelsea top autographed by some players. I've tried to wait after matches but no appearances are made. If anyone knows how I can go about it another way please can you let me know?
Thanks

Go to the training ground and ,if you can, go to the stadium in the morning when the players are arriving for training. Once you have got one ask them to tell the other players that you'd like your shirt signed.
It is harder to get players autographs due to the upsurge in collecting autographs for selling on places such as ebay, I hope you're not one of them and that you are a genuine fan.
I've tried to help you even though I am a Barca. fan. Good luck.
Write to the club making the request. They employ someone to deal with queries like this.
Why don't you check out their website, and order some.
Dunno for sure if they do it like that, but it's worth a go!
go to the training ground or the football ground two hours before kick off
don't bother going to the training ground. i live near it and you can't get in and there is a sign telling you not to wait outside as they won't stop and sign any autographs. there are also security guards there all the time.
best thing to do would be to contact the club or player directly, maybe offer to make a donation to a charity for the autograph.
write to the players individually, using Stamford Bridge as an address (you'll get the address on their website). Include a decent sized stamped addressed envelope, and they'll send you an autographed picture.
works with Newcastle Utd players anyway.
First teach the footballers how to write then you may get their autographs.
Tell them that you know what they have done last summer, individually of course. This trick works every time. They are at it all the time and every where.
well just ask for it
Find their hotel when they have an away game.
matb is right, if you write to the club they'll put someone onto it but not only that, you'll get all of the team members in one post!
PLUS you'll get any up and coming player too!
Pretend to be a traffic warden, issue them a ticket and get them to sign for it.
Perhaps you should cotact the club.
Well you could always stalk the team until they sign it for you to leave them alone ^o) hehe
try ringing them up and telling them that if you buy a top and send it to them will they get it signed for your friend who is ill or something.just remember to use your name.wink wink
Start by teaching them how to write.
I wouldnt bother there just a load of over paid jerks
Threaten to go to the News of the World . . . that should get their attention and continue from there.
If they're anything like my local team, there will be various players doing signings of books and calendars as it gets closer to Christmas. Take your shirt along to one of these and you ought to be able to get a few autographs.
I suppose you want the up to date players with that I can't help but players of yesteryear are doing the conventions circuits I know this because I go to them there is one in Birmingham called Memoribillia they have sports and movie/TV celebs. yes you have to pay for the autos but you also get to chat with them and ask that burning question. check it out there might be someone you want to meet this time they are doing a Bond Reunion
well i bumped in Keiron Dyer in a record shop and got his autograph for my nephew!!
kidnap him
Avoid going to their training ground because they get annoyed at groupies hanging around there hassling them all the time.
Forum nights are a good way to get autographs and photos because it's expected of them at the end of the night, you only tend to get two or three players at a forum so may need to attend quite a few.
Away games are also good for autographs, the players are very appreciative of the away support that they get - it shows a true fan! Catch them as they either arrive or leave the ground (avoid after the match if it's a defeat!)
If you want the autographs for charity then approach their press office who will usually be happy to help.
Hope this helps.
