If Celtic are that bad against English opposition why have they only been beaten once in seven games?

Who said they were bad, I am a Rangers supporter and I know the scumbags do have a good record against English teams, as do Rangers.
The simple fact is that only Celtic and Rangers (and possibly Hearts) are equivalent to English Premiership sides.
The remaining SPL clubs are either the equivalent of English Championship - or more likely English League 1 sides.
So to lose 1 in 7 in the SPL is not as amazing a task as to lose 1 in 7 in the English Premiership.
because thats probly over the last 50 years the standardsare a lot higher now you gotta except that your team isnt at the same level as the premier league be happy you are where u are.
It's not really a good comparison to use european matches as measure of how well scottish teams and english teams perform, as it is a one off or 2 legged match where both teams have to attack and is not the same as playing in a league situation. I'm sure you would admit that the top 5 teams in england last year are of higher quality than both Rangers and Celtic.
Celtic are a good team - I think anyone who says anything to the contrary either knows nothing about football or they want to provoke a reaction. However, I don't think they would do very well in the Premiership. I believe they do fairly well against English opposition because they are more up for the contest. As we have seen over the last couple of years in England (Fulham v Chelsea, Everton v Liverpool, etc), the 'best' team don't always win in derbys. The team that wins is sometimes the one that wants to win the most and that works the hardest. Usually Celtic have that extra edge about them in a Scotland v England club match.
Shellick clocked up most of those results against second rate teams in the UEFA cup. It will be 2 defeats out of 2 in the Champions league.
English fans and press very quickly like to forget when they get beaten especially when it's agents Scottish opposition. So when the two club nations collied they only linger on the games that they have won.
They are great against the english no matter the competition.
