They're not - depends where you are. In any case I would pick one according to whether you have a tendency to slice or hook. If you usually go down the middle you can play anywhere.
Because it is mainly made and marketed at American's and other left hand driving countries. Jokingly because American's are too lazy to walk with their clubs.
Probably, the other answers are right about the market. However, I disagree that about the generalizations about American golfers. Nothing is dumber than seeing a big fat guy not taking the opportunity to walk off a few pounds, or even some young fit guys guzzling beer. I guess the cooler is harder to carry by hand.
Yes, too many take carts. It annoys the **** out of me. I personaly never take a cart unless the stupid course requires it. Unfortunately, the cost of running a golf course in America is high and the courses make a lot of money pushing cart rentals.
So - don't blame all Americans!
