Can anyone recommend a good fishing holiday?
Anywhere in the world - sea, lake or river.

I fish up in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It's wilderness type country. I fish in the spring, because while it's often cool- NO!darned cold, I avoid all the bugs. The fishing is usually GREAT. Northern pike, walleyes, perch, trout, and muskies. You can usually catch enough that IF you kept all you catch, the weight would sink the boat. We camp. But, there are lodges. You see eagles, beavers, bears, and moose. You'll often see the "Northern Lights" You'll hear loons, which to me IS, the sound of the North. If you are seeking a wilderness fishing trip, you won't beat Canada, unless you go to Alaska. I'd be happy to provide specific info, if you wish.

sorry not a holiday but Burton Mere in Ness on the Wirral is fantastic if u want a trip to a different venue.
Carp upto 30lb and huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge catfish.
there are 4 lakes to fish all well stocked with good features to fish to.

Power Bait -Pink, Lime, Orange or Rainbow Sherbert on a #14 trebble hook
All with at least a 18" florocarbon leader
I don't fly fish so I can't help there but at Walnut Creek there are some nice steelhead. Elk creek is also popular.
France is very good, and easy to get to. Any of the rivers in central france, they are full of fish. Also there are loads of lakes around the rivers to fish as well. If your inland and about 6 hours south of calais, the weather is superb, Accomadation is fairly cheap, and the food and wine doesnt get any better. Infact, give me a ring when you go, and il show you the way. TIGHT LINES
