Looks like he moved over to the States. This was on a US website, posted in October 2004:
Six-year-old British-bred Needwood Blade, the longest shot on the board at 11-1, won his first American race in seven starts by taking the $112,500 Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIIT) in a surprise Saturday on the turf at Bay Meadows.
Needwood Blade won eight of 31 starts in Europe before transferring to the U.S. for owners Harlequin Ranches and Richard Duggan. He ran for Kathy Walsh in his first five starts here before Gallagher took over conditioning duties before Needwood Blade's last start.
Not in front of the children, please.....
Needwood Blade retired to stud in 2005 and currently stands at Mickley Stud (formerly Helshaw Grange Stud) in Shropshire.
He has had a good book of mares in each of his two seasons to date (over 70 mares in each year) and his first foals should sell later this year.
As far as his race career goes he won 9 races and £197,130 over a career spanning 3 years. His biggest wins came in the Group 3 Palace House Stakes and the Grade 3 Bay Meadows Breeders Cup.
He is owned by Rathbarry Stud. Check out the following link which will tell you all about Needwood Blade's career:
