Carriage driving.?
Does anybody have any helpful information about carriage driving? I have been a horse rider for many years, but no longer want to ride astride and have often considered carriage driving.

I just started training my pony mare to drive. I bought an inexpensive, nylon harness and have been line-driving her for several days. It was suggested to me that when I do hook her to the cart, I should have at least one or two helpers in case she gets upset. I anticipate that she'll accept it with no problem.
When I was a kid, 11 or 12 years old, I showed ponies in harness. I've wanted to get back into it ever since then. A good idea for you would be to locate and purchase or borrow a seasoned driving horse, who has "been there and done that". That way HE can teach YOU, as horses are quite forgiving and generally wish to please their handlers.
Here where I live in central Ohio in the States, we have several Driving Clubs with members that regularly get together and drive for pleasure or show. You might look in your area for something like that. Best of luck to you!
