Who Regulates Horse Racing?

And when it is sooooooooooo obviously corrupt - why isn't the regulator investigating and sorting it all out? Not that we need an Aussie Umpire to ruin it for everybody!

Answers:
The legal answer is the racing commissions. The actual answer is indeed the jockey colony. These guys are so corrupt that they won't let the best horse with even for a 5 million bonus. But if you think about it, what's 5 million if you bring home 35 million in purses in a year? would you risk 35 million for a mere 5 (even if it mean immortality?)

I think it's the British Horseracing Board.

In Great Britain the Horseracing Regulatory Authority (HRA) are the regulators. They took over from The Jockey Club and The British Horseracing Board earlier this year.

They are acting against corruption, which is not as widespread as some of you seem to think. The HRA are the ones that have banned Keiran Fallon from riding till after his trial.

In the USA each state has it's own racing authority and they lay down the rules.

In Ireland the regulators are Horseracing Ireland (HRI); and in France it is France-Galop.

In California, It is regulated by the CHRB, California Horse Racing Board. Each State has their own racing board & regulations that must be adhered to by all who wish to enter their horse in a race.
