Does loyalty still exist?
The season before last we finished 2nd in our football (soccer) league and therefore at the end of the season 6 players were picked up by teams in higher leagues. Our manager left also which didn't help.
Last season, with a new manager, the rest of us pulled together and we managed to finish mid-table, which was good concidering the previous loss.
But come the start of this season, 3 key players have moved to join our rivals and left us struggling. I look at the league table and they are top and we are lingering near bottom.
Thanx a lot girls, for taking the bloody easy option and going glory hunting. I will stick it out till the end no matter what, I won't disown my team.
Someone reassure me that loyalty still does exist please cos i'm losing faith.

Well I was still in my mummy's tummy when my dad declared that I would support his team, from his home town! They were in the market at Islington and he spotted a trader selling badges, so he bought the relevant one and attached it to my mother's stomach. (On her blouse, obviously, not through her flesh. Although that would make for a better story!) And I have stayed with the team to this day, so fan loyalty will never die!

LOYALITY EQUAL GLORY TO SOME.
there has to be loyalty, there is loyalty everywhere in multiple ways, don't be depressed, there is loyalty if you believe
in my house it does
all one can do is be true to ones self and except others for what they are
I'd answer this, but I've just noticed a better question..
You're not looking at it the right way. They were not loyal to you guys, but that does not mean they lacked loyalty. The person who always comes first in your mind is yourself, and what's better than being loyal to yourself? Most people can't help but follow their dreams and those are the things they are most loyal to. It seems your former teammates were just a bit more loyal to the prospect of winning than they were to their original team.
Sorry, Loyalty was killed stone dead in the eighties by the fundemental method of selling off jobs.
Jobs are the key stone, and all other things in life follow.
Again sorry, Mrs Thatcher killed loyalty and was rewarded very well for it.
So now we are all just a number, sold to the highest bidder. Power, Glory, Easy Option, Money.
Like a lot of other good qualities, such as honesty, integrity, character, and fidelity, loyalty has bitten the dust. Yes, some people still know what it is and not everyone is a liar, thief, or tramp, but doing what's right just isn't as popular anymore.
Like the guy said, everyone's out for number one and everybody else can look out for themselves.
Just another reason why I don't think this culture is going to be here in another 100 years (or less).
