Is it wrong to creat a fight scene using martial arts?

right, i know a style of karate and we generally have this belief that karate is used as a self defence, and i just wanted to have a bit of fun with it, so i proposed to my friend that we use the karate i know to video tape a fight scene, just for a bit of fun, and to cure our boredom, its really nothing serious, and some of the moves are nothing like what we learn in the style, well probably not till black belt, i guess what im wondering, is, is there like anything wrong with doing so from a karate point of view..incase you are wondering, the style i practice is called seido

Answers:
i think its great , it shows creativity and the lust to further move on , don't get too serious as it is easy to get hurt . Scenario training is one of the great pillars of martial arts training
Just do it !!
hey you learn it for a reason, if i knew anyone else who fenced id be straight getting the bamboo caines out, go for it, just dont break your neck cos that cold have adverse affects
I think that if you were to do a video of your skills in the Karate, that would be fine to do. You could do a video showing why you are taking the Karate lessons and for others to see if it were right for them. Just a suggestion. Have fun.
Nothing wrong with it unless your picking actual fights with people so you can tape the fight scenes. If your acting, then go for it and have fun.
sure you can some films do so go for it
naw. go ahead and do it. i mean it doesnt sound that bad. if you're just making it for a laugh u kno? just be sure you are not offending anyone/anyone might feel offended if you post it on a website. :)
back in my day when I was a young lad fighting was prohibited.
You can answer this question yourself!
No. Record it and send it to a top film director and he might be able to give you job as a stunt man in his many movies. And then tell me if it works.
it is NOT wrong. martial arts is literally the skill of combat. it only becomes wrong if you suck and disgrace w/e style you do.
As long as no one is getting hurt I don't see anything wrong with it.
You may actually want to record your kata, kihon and kumite. You never know what you may see in your own form that you don't notice while you are doing it.
Why stop there? Put together a script and make your own martial arts movie. Just remember to practice the scenes over and over and use protective equipment so that you don't hurt each other.
I Would Have Thought If It Was For Private Viewing Why Not
it sounds like fun so you go for it
no not really just make it look cool and no one will care
